Philosophy
Holistic nutrition is a philosophy of healing that focuses on food, as well as other lifestyle factors, as a means of bringing the body systems back into balance.
To achieve good health one must address the underlying causes, not just eliminate or mask the symptoms. In our time together, we search for causes on all levels-physical, emotional, spiritual.
I focus on educating and empowering individuals to take charge of their health; I do not treat disease or disease symptoms.
It is my goal to teach each client how to achieve and maintain good health, increase vitality, and build up one's resistance through improved nutrition and a harmonious lifestyle.
Initial appointments are recommended for a minimum of one hour. We spend time acquiring information about your level of health and fitness through questionnaires, assessments, and one-on-one discussions. From this we determine your current state of heal, your goals, and create an action plan.
All action plans will vary depending on one's individual needs. Plans will involve a nutrition and fitness component. Depending on the case, dietary supplements may be recommended. In addition, we also discuss emotional and spiritual issues that may be hindering your health goals. Recommendations are made for addressing these issues as well, such as relaxation, meditation, massage, etc.
